1. Start by sketching the letterform in pencil, but this time, don’t ink the outline! We’ll erase this later.

2. Switch to pen and start filling the space within the letter. I usually choose little clusters of flowers and leaves. Start by evenly spacing the flowers, and then add leaves, leaving some areas open for details. Make sure the design elements reach the guide outline to ensure that the final result still looks like the letter!

3. Add smaller leaves (or other elements) to fill out the blank areas, bringing them right up to the pencil guide.
